We are excited to share that the new Computer Science Laboratory building at UMass Amherst has achieved LEED Platinum certification! This project was a great collaboration with Perkins Eastman Architects to ensure that both the building and landscape align with the University's ambitious sustainability goals.
The landscape design links new and existing buildings through clear pedestrian circulation and inclusive, ADA-compliant routes while integrating rain gardens, robust tree and pollinator plantings, and a reduced-mow maintenance typology. Creative grading and
precast bridge solutions resolve steep topography to maintain accessibility and stormwater function.
Congratulations to the team on this incredible achievement!
