Rachel Tellano

Designer

Rachel’s deep-rooted appreciation for the natural world began in the forests of rural North Georgia, where she spent her childhood exploring the foothills of Appalachia and learning to identify the trees of the South. This early connection to the landscape led her to pursue a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture with a minor in Horticulture at the University of Georgia.

During her studies, Rachel traveled throughout Europe to explore garden photography. She also studied in Australia, where she examined the intersection of human culture, the environment, and the economy regarding sustainability. A lifelong appreciation for the arts led her to stay active in music, performing as a member of her university’s marching band. Her passion for both the arts and the natural world ultimately guided her toward a career in landscape architecture, where she could bring creativity and technical expertise together.

Prior to joining Crowley Cottrell in the summer of 2023, Rachel worked as an intern and designer in Washington, DC working on residential projects. Outside of the office, she enjoys watching k-dramas with her cat and solo traveling around the world.
