Jessica Brown

Senior Associate

Jessica Brown believes the strongest projects begin long before the first line is drawn. As Director of Marketing and Business Development, she helps shape project vision, build collaborative teams, and craft thoughtful approaches that respond to each client's unique goals and challenges. Drawing on over fifteen years of landscape architecture practice, Jessica brings a designer's eye and a deep understanding of project development to the earliest stages of every pursuit, helping clients and teams establish a clear foundation for meaningful work.

Since joining Crowley Cottrell in 2015, Jessica has helped guide the firm's growth while continuing to champion thoughtful design. Her work has been recognized through awards for both high-end residential landscapes and budget-conscious public parks, reflecting a belief that creativity and careful design can elevate projects at every scale and for every community.

Jessica's commitment to people and place began long before becoming a landscape architect. Early in her career, she worked as a community organizer focused on agricultural trade, local food systems, and strengthening people's connection to the land. Inspired by a lifelong love of design—nurtured by her mother, an architect—she earned a Master of Landscape Architecture from the University of Pennsylvania after completing a bachelor's degree in Spanish and Latin American Studies at Cornell University. She has practiced landscape architecture in both the United States and Europe, taught at the University of Pennsylvania and the Boston Architectural College, and continues to believe that thoughtful design can shape not only the land itself, but also the way people live together upon it.
