JP brings careful listening, and exceptional clarity to every project he leads. As an Associate Principal at Crowley Cottrell, he guides complex civic, housing, and campus projects from vision through implementation, helping clients, consultants, and communities navigate challenging decisions with confidence. Through carefully crafted drawings, engaging presentations, and a collaborative design process, JP believes clear communication is one of a designer's most valuable tools.

Since joining Crowley Cottrell in 2018, JP has led some of the firm's most significant projects, including the firm's role on White Stadium, where he directed the City's landscape architecture approach while helping steward the historic legacy of Franklin Park and keeping the needs of Boston Public School students at the center of the design process. He is known for balancing big-picture thinking with meticulous attention to detail, creating landscapes that are both thoughtfully conceived and carefully executed.

Growing up overseas and immersed in different languages and cultures, JP developed a lifelong curiosity about how people experience places and the stories landscapes can tell. Before becoming a landscape architect, he studied East Asian Studies and Film at Vassar College and worked as a film editor, project manager, and land surveyor before earning his Master of Landscape Architecture from the Harvard Graduate School of Design. There he received both the Norman T. Newton Prize and the ASLA Certificate of Merit. These experiences continue to inform his work today, shaping the careful observation, visual communication, and thoughtful craftsmanship that define his approach to landscape architecture.
