A community engagement process revealed the importance of this space in providing recreational opportunities for both children and adults. The design incorporates new play structures for children and well as exercise equipment for adults. Crowley Cottrell worked with Kompan to create custom structures for the space. New paving and structures were carefully organized as to maintain the existing tree canopy, which provides shade and respite in this dense urban neighborhood.
