Francis M. Leahy Elementary School is a complete rebuild of an existing school combining with another school and will contain grades K through 8. Crowley Cottrell designed the streetscape around the building, as well as two rooftop areas – a small courtyard play space, and a large playground occupying the entire upper rooftop. The rooftop playground contains a variety of play equipment, open spaces for free play on colorful surfacing, small tree plantings, outdoor classrooms, a basketball court, and raised garden beds.This project is currently under construction.
