Campus Masterplan
Proctor Academy
Crowley Cottrell was the landscape architect for this campus master plan for this 2,500-acre boarding school in Andover, New Hampshire, envisioning a more connected, pedestrian-focused campus that can grow through phased improvements. The plan strengthens the campus core by creating a clearer center of activity and reorganizing circulation to prioritize walking while consolidating vehicular areas. Informal and vehicle-shared routes are replaced with accessible, well-defined walkways, including a new east–west spine linking key academic and residential areas. Redundant paths are removed to make way for a new campus green overlooking Proctor Pond—an open, flexible gathering space that reflects the school’s character and helps frame future development.
