Crowley Cottrell collaborated with a multidisciplinary team of architects and engineers on the renovation and expansion of this veterans’ housing complex in Chelsea. The project began with the development of a comprehensive master plan, outlining five subsequent phases of design and construction. Building on the master plan, each phase was further developed to introduce a wide range of outdoor program elements, including a community garden and veterans memorial, playgrounds, and outdoor grilling and gathering spaces. Circulation and parking are simplified and expanded, while streetscape improvements and robust planting increase pedestrian comfort and safety.
