At Crowley Cottrell, we designed an outdoor classroom, green roof, and rain garden for Concord Academy’s Labs Building. These spaces provide opportunities to learn about natural systems in conjunction with curriculum. A brick terrace surrounded by a stone seat wall welcomes students to the building entry with refined seating options and complimentary tree plantings. Our work then extends beyond the new building to include accessibility improvements, regrading and planting of the main quad, new quad lighting, and gathering spaces for individuals and groups.
