Meadow View Pool
Private Residence
Nestled into the sloping topography within a 100-foot buffer of a historic New England wetland, this residential landscape was designed with sensitivity to its environmental context. The pool and deck were carefully sited to preserve views into the conservation area, creating a serene space for observation and reflection. By working with the natural topography, the design minimized the need for traditional pool fencing, maintaining a sense of openness while meeting safety requirements. Existing meadow areas—once seen as a limitation—are now actively managed and enhanced as a defining landscape feature. The restored native plant palette strengthens habitat value while reinforcing a visual and ecological connection to the surrounding wetland. This project exemplifies how careful design and ecological stewardship can transform site constraints into lasting assets.
