Main Street Master Plan

Concord Academy

The Main Street Master Plan focuses on the threshold between Concord Academy’s campus and the public realm. At Crowley Cottrell, we developed design guidelines to present a unified identity for the school, clarify the boundary between public and private spaces, and strengthen the connection between Main Street and campus. The first phase of improvements centered around the Main Gate, creating a safer, more welcoming entry for both vehicles and pedestrians. We worked closely with the Town of Concord to coordinate the installation of a new sidewalk and street lighting. All new and renovated site elements along Main Street—including restored wrought iron fences and gates, relocated granite piers, and a new brick terrace—received approval from the Historic District Commission.
